“I think that you should change your blog tagline. I dun think it is suitable as any words that we said is some sort like a prayer and especially when you mention about hell.”

That’s the comment from an unlikely reader of my blog, my father when my parents came to my house last weekend… I didn’t expect that he read my blog and it is a nice surprise to learn that he does. Well as my father is my idol since I was a kid, I did take a mental note to change lil bit this blog tagline and that’s what I’ve done 1st thing I reached my office (OK not the 1st thing. I’ve made the changes after reading the emails and security news + blogs)

Abah, hopefully you can accept the current tagline  :)

Yeah. All of this started from wifey when she had flu + running nose and me with my big mouth gave some wise ass remark like,

“You ni lembik la, asik dapat flu je. ” - “You are such a weak person

And as a result, it is my turn to suffer the sore throat, headache, running nose, coughing and a touch of fever as well. And thankfully I have a wonderful wifey who willing (or not I dun know ;P) to take over some of my tasks on putting Adam to sleep. Usually Adam will only sleep if I lay beside him and give some soft pats on his buttock while Ariff requires wifey to cuddle him closely or he will start screaming and refuse to sleep.

Speed recovery is a must or I’ll end up doing nothing at the office (Heck I can’t even think properly and lil bit weak due to the lost of my appetite :P)

Sick man

That sums up my new year eve actually. One of my twins, Ariff encountered some minor incident which as a result gave him a bruised right eye and a swollen forehead.

Pity me

And no, it’s not because of Adam as well.

dsc00045.JPG
No, not even because of Adam’s TKO punch

But because of the rope that bind Ariff’s Spring cot at my In Law’s House in Desa Pandan loosen and the unfortunate Ariff fell with the springs hit on his face.

The rope that hold the spring cot. Notice the reinforced knot with “tali rapia”

The fallen spring cot. The victim has been taken to the hospital. Ignore the used diaper

Anyway we brought Ariff to Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital for immediate treatment and thankfully he has been cleared from having any serious concussion, any bone fracture, vision problem or any other major head injuries. Even though Ariff will celebrating his first New Year with bruised right eye, swollen forehead, still he is as cheerful as always and of cause as cute as his dad ;)

Cute eh? :)

Yesterday Last Monday wass the registration and orientation day for standard one pupil of Sek Kebangsaan Bukit Jalil. It’s a big occasion for me and wifey (and of cause for our daughter Nisha). From the letter that we received few weeks back stated that we need to be at the school before 8 am and due to our maid still in Indonesia, we have to wake up early (around 5 am) to avoid traffic jams along the way from Desa Pandan to Bukit Jalil.

But as we know that if the event scheduled to be started at 8, it means that it will start at 9 (Malaysia maaaa). So we end up having our asses numb (one hour sitting maa but at least wifey need to clean up Iman as she berak :))) As usual schools PA/sound systems are not at its best and so with Sek Keb Bukit Jalil. Most of the time I’ll asked wifey whether she can understand or listen properly all the speeches given by the Head Mistress, the Deputy Headmaster for Curriculum, Deputy Headmaster for Co-curriculum (geez during my days, we only had Headmaster and his assistant for primary school). Btw most of the parents pay attention to their children who gathered at the school assembly courtyard grouped by their assigned class.

After settling the school fees, we decided to buy Nisha’s books on coming week as too many parents queuing at the school book shop and by that time it was already near noon and all of us were hungry. So we went to Pelita near KLCC for our lunch and straight to JayaJusco at Taman Maluri to buy some groceries. As usual the first place that wifey is going to visit is the toilet :))

Anyway while waiting wifey, Nisha held her name tag and ask me a series of toughest questions that I ever encountered. She just simply point to her name and ask me,

“Pa, ****** ni sapa? Nisha tak kenal pun. Nisha tak pernah jumpa pun?” “Nisha tau papa je.”   - “Pa, who is ********? Nisha didn’t know him and never met him before? Nisha only know you”

To be honest, her questions caught me off guard. I just raised my shoulder and replied,

“Err tanya mummy la.” - “Err.. Ask mummy.”

I’ve been asked many questions before and for most of the time I can tai-chi or goreng a bit the answers. But Nisha’s questions are not something to be taken lightly because if I lied or gave a wrong answer, her perception towards me will change and the scariest part is she will never trust me anymore. And I believe that those questions can be answered only by wifey and perhaps during the daughter-mother talks as far as I concern, I dun have any rights to interfere in this matter.

My only hope is that Nisha will realized that my love towards her are the same as the love that I have towards Iman, Adam and Ariff. Sometimes I feel that I love her more as I still can remember the first time that we met and the first time that she called me “papa” because at both occasions, there were tears in my eyes.

My maid’s father passed away last few days (before she managed to return home). The news affected our family as well (including my parents as they are the ones who brought her here.) From the 1st day when she started to work at our house where we had to educate her countless of time on performing the house chores (credit to wifey who provide the “trainings”) and when I have thousands of doubt about her taking care of Iman(she’s just 1 year old ++) until now when both of my daughters treat her like their own sister and both of my twin boys are getting along well with her. Mistakes do happen now and then, here and there but she’s getting better and better.

Me and my family only hope that she can be strong to accept the fact that her father is no longer with her and hopefully she realized that somehow he is much alive in her memory.

Al-Fatihah.

With my maid is going back to her hometown for two weeks leave, me and wifey will have our hands full with this two boys..
