Last weekend, I had a “old-friend-get together” session with one of my old friends nearby my house. He is one of my long lost friends and I can say that we shared a lot of experiences doing some naughty activities during our younger days.

He is totally opposite of me (used to be). I was a straight talker (Err I should use “am” but maybe it’s debatable) while he is more diplomatic, “cakap berlapik” thingy. I’m more “let’s go and do it now” while he is “Okay but let’s plan and think about the consequences (escape plans actually) first”.

So after exchanging the usual pleasantry, we start reminiscing the past activities and had a good laugh about it. The of course we touched about our current life and careers. Kinda surprise when he mentioned that he already surpass me on the number of companies that listed in his CV as former employer. When I asked him why, this is his answer;

“I work for money. For loyalty get a dog. For ‘Bear with us statement’ get a bear“

I just laughed so hard that I accidentally spilled my nescafe on the table.

Have to give that statement an exit 0

Some people loves complaining about others, but then I believe that you should look at the mirror and think whether you can execute the task better or not..

Well actually D-Day plus One is yesterday. D-Day = the day that when we need to do all the things by ourselves as the maid decided to leave. As I am the one who volunteered to stay at home and take care all the kids while wifey fulfilling her appointments. I have to admit it’s quite awkward for me at first but as the day progressed, I’m getting used to all the house chores even though the house usually filled with shouting from me, the twins and of cause their usual victim, Iman.

So what did I do actually? First I have to get the twins to take their bath. Thankfully they do love playing with water and especially when I turn on the shower. The only problem is to make them leave the bathroom and the only trick that I have is to turn off the lite and they will scramble to get out of the bathroom (usually they will have some small fight with each other on who should get out first. This is where the shouting match will starts between them and me)

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr....

Then of cause I have to feed them. The usual diet is their milk and scramble eggs (most of the time they will eat one or two spoonful and then play with the rest of the eggs in their bowl). While they are playing with their food, I will start to do some laundry, wash the dishes and yeah some cooking as well. As for yesterday, wifey already prepared breakfast and lunch for us (she know that I’m quite helpless when cooking for the kids).

These chores will last to the lunch hour where for the twins, they had some vegetable soup (yes. They only want the soup – the watery part and not the soup content). They will only have one or two spoonful of rice in that soup but they can take up to two bowl of soup. After lunch, I took them to my room and let them watching their favourite channel and in short period of time, both of them dozed off. Within that time, I managed to complete and submit my monthly report to the Project Manager. Terer eh?

After they woke up, the chaos resumed (HAHA). So as usual besides the customary smiling-after-wake-up, they will request for their daily dosage of milk. In the mean time, while waiting for my eldest daughter return from school around 6 pm, another laundry activities, settling the outstanding dishes at the kitchen sink and yeah, sweeping the floow, taking out the thrash and other chores.

Once Nisha reached home, we then started our house cleaning operation before wifey came home (and start nagging about the house condition). Me, Nisha, Iman and the twins, yeah the twins also somehow surprised me with their co-operative behavior in cleaning up the house (even thought they started to hit Iman with the broom afterward)

Then while waiting for wifey, we had our dinner, Oh yeah.. I cook for dinner and thankfully there’s no complaint from the kids especially from Nisha.. The last chore for the day was when I have to become the plumber in order to remove the interruption to the water flow from the kitchen sink. Ahh I became an electrician last few days when we had lighting problem with the master bedroom’s bathroom and our daughter’s room’s bathroom.

Even though it is tiring but I’ve learned a lot especially about my kids. I know their favourite TV show, the exact time for their meals, what are the signals or their behavior when they are really hungry or when they just want to play with the foods, how to really make them listen to you (OK shouting doesn’t help but somehow it does increase the odds ) and somehow someway I do feel that I’m closer to my children than before.

Maybe there’s a silver lining in the dark clouds anyway…

p/s: Why i didn’t mention about Iman? Because she’s in semi auto pilot already. She knows what she should that at what time. She helps me a lot actually especially in interpreting what the twins actually wanted hahaha..

To be frank, overall I’m in the stage of overcoming some tests that the God has given to me. Some of the tests are quite challenging that I think without the support of my loved ones, I might suffer what I call mental break down. Some times I do feel like I want to scream at the top of my lung but after thinking about the consequence and the benefits of doing it, I’ve decided against doing that. Yeah I do feel that I’ve reached the limit many times.

Last two days, my maid decided to leave us. She just pack her things, leave the twins and then she left. Fortunately she still has the decency to sms wifey and asked her to come home as soon as possible because the twins were at home alone. So wifey called me, fetched me from the office, went back to the house and gladly and gratefully to see the twins happily playing within the house compound. Fortunately the neighbour’s maid was there to accompany them and it seems that Nisha also skipped her school. I take it as it’s another test for me and honestly this is the least challenging compared to others.

I know that this maid is going to leave us someday and to be honest I do not have the feeling to retain her as well especially after the case of Iman’s hand poured with hot boiled water. She told us that Iman was playing with the boiler but all the post incident events indicate that she was hiding something.

Nevermind… For all the things that happened to me and my family, I know that maybe in the future the God will reward us with something that beyond our imagination. Who knows rite

Of cause for every surgery will leave you one nice scar. For me as I had approx. 11 stitches on my forehead and at that time I do feel like Frankenstein. I have to admit that whenever I look at the mirror every morning either for brushing my teeth or trimming my beards, sometimes I did cover the surgery wound with my hand.

Soon after the stitches were removed, it leaves one nice long trench on my forehead and I did notice that my eyebrows were not aligned to each other. My left eyebrow was lil bit higher than the right one (thank God that my eyes are still in its original place hehehe). Well it was lil bit awkward when the first thing that people that I met fixed their eyes on  or asking was my scar.

“You had a fight kah?”

“You had a gang fight eh?”

“Your twins are soo naughty eh?”

“You just upgrade your memory?” -> one of my colleagues question..

But as the time passed by, I’m getting used to that kind of questions (minus the last one) as for me nothing will change lor and from time to time I just simply ignore the existence of that scar.

Until one fine day when wifey approach me and said,

“You already know that my stretch marks mostly gone rite?”

“Yeah.. It’s nice to actually feel that I’m touching the stomach instead of car tyre surface  whenever I touch your stomach.”

“Good. Now lets try on your operation scar.”

“What? Later on lah.. I’m watching Sopranos now and I’ll do it later. Can?”

“Just sit quietly and let me do on your operation scar.”

“Later lah..”

“Quiet and watch your Sopranos.”

“Err OK”

And that’s the start of everything. My scar really lighten up and on the next time, it’s me who asking wifey,

“Where’s your machine eh? Err I want to do on my scar.”

And after few times this is the result.

It seems that my previous posting did offend some people. I want to take this opportunity to say sorry to whoever offended either directly or indirectly by that post and there are no malicious intentions in it. As most of the people in this particular industry I can call them as my friends and professional colleagues. But with that in mind, these people also entitled for their comments, views and opinions.

A comment from y0muds is a comprehensive and long one (Sorry dude, I just dunno why but akismet consider your comment as spam and I guess perhaps because of the length).

Anyway like I mentioned before, I do have intention to attend the hackaton day as most of presentations on that particular day are dealing with web intrusion as perhaps there are some techniques on detection or prevention that can be implemented for our daily operations. Alas, I have to abandon that idea as I have other important matter that I have to attend.

Anyway, I think both of the parties have given their views and opinions; I guess now is the time for us to chill out ok? Take a break, have a glass of nescafe (Maya Karin said nescafe has a high level of antioxidant) and a cigar…

I’m just an ordinary, happy and nice guy.. Honest..

Nowadays I’ve heard many rumours.. Some of them are totally bullshit and crap, some of them could perform some doubt injection in your confidence and some of them, unfortunately totally shaken you up.. I wish I could close my ears and ignore all these rumours..

For the first time in my life, I do feel lil bit insecure…

Yup… I’m back at my parents’ house in Kuantan. Reached here last Saturday and at that time really looking forward spending some relaxing time here. But we can only plan as God always has something else planned for us right? So that’s what happened on the first night spent without wifey around. It seems that all of us missed to be here in Kuantan so my kids spent most of their time here eating literally everything (including the twins as well). As the result? I barely get any sleep last nite as Nisha, Adam and Ariff decided that it was the good time to test their father’s patience and endurance by ejecting most of the content of the stomach via mouth in series of involuntary spasmic movements. In fact I smelled like those content of the stomach

This morning, as usual I switched on my laptop and fires up Thunderbird. As like in automatic mode, I browse through all the emails that I received and without any hesitation I opened up one email sent by our SOC to our client. I’ve discovered some mistakes in that email and almost immediately I composed an email addressing that mistake and send it. After that I just realized that I am suppose to be on “work free” holiday and why on earth I keep myself busy looking at those emails? Crazy.

Ahh… I’ve upgraded the wordpress to 2.7 and another change of the interface. Cool enuff and some of the features are quite impressive.

So hopefully I can continue my “work free” holiday without any vomit incident handling anymore. I need to monitor what kind of food these kids are taking. Hmmm….

I’ll be on leave from 15th December until 26th December 2008. That means I will have two nice work free weeks to spend with the kids and perhaps find some time for myself as well. There are many things that I’ve plan in my head on what I’m gonna do (besides looking after the kids). Maybe I could finish off any pending projects that I had like the assembly thingy, the analyst guidelines, malware thingy as well, and yeah my unit plan for next year. So, I’m looking forward for those nice, peaceful, works free holiday.
