Yeap, lil bit busy this week. Hmm let me tell you what really consume most of my time either during working hours and at home. Maybe at the end it turns out that I am not that busy at all. But I do feel like I have a lot of things to do..
First, I managed to complete a 3 days training slides in few hours (106 slides in total) and even managed to print, bind `em and design a nice cover. Kewl eh.. No thanks to sudden last minute change of the training schedule. And I need to conduct that training for 3 days. (err I’ve mentioned about the training duration didn’t I?)
Had to think a very nice way of implementing the security devices where we can reduce the false positive rates, minimize the impact on the network performance and of cause provide the necessary information to assist analysts performing their task efficiently. It is not THAT easy tho.
Oh yeah, I need to review the training content for “Introduction to ICT Security” topic as I do think that a proper revision and updates need to be done. And I need to complete this before this coming 20th August and before my scheduled training on 25th August as well. Still yet to be done.
Of cause I need to prepare wifey’s cyber shop web site as well. She has many requirements starting from the design, the layout, the color, the themes and many more. At the end I just install the necessary application, setting the emails accounts and the rest wifey did it herself. I know she can do it and with some “I am busy excuse” help, from my point of view, she’s done it quite nice and commendable.
And I’ll conduct an interview session during UiTM’s i-Hack event this weekend and MAYBE have look on the forensic and defense challenge which sponsored by my company. Anyway we are the ones who prepared the challenge servers.
Regarding interviews, I am suppose to conduct interview this coming Thursday but recently I just know that I dun have the authority to interview candidates due to my job grade. It is fine with me as I can pursue other tasks. Sometimes Human Resource Department has different views from us the techies but I guess everybody has their own problem with their HR Department in their respective company. True?
Regarding the Untangle that need to be evaluated and tested by me? Unfortunately I need a switch to create one simple LAN for testing. For time being it still resides within the server doing nothing. If I get all the necessary items to create the suitable environment, then I’ll post the review.
And the most time consume, tiresome, energy sapping, sleepless nights, exhaustive task that I need to do every single day is handling these two boys
and their sisters
