I guess, the current theme playing around inside most of Malaysian minds are Wind of Change. Change not only on the options that we have for us to give the mandate of administrating our beloved country but also in other aspect of life as well. As example when I reached my hometown last Sunday, I did notice some changes, physical changes that is. Yeah, Kuantan is not Kuantan that I used to know, used to roam around during my youthful months (I seldom stayed more than few months at Kuantan especially after my secondary school period.) Oh yeah, last nite me, my former bedmate who is now the blogging doctor with another colleague who is also spending his youthful years at the same secondary school as ours, The Malay College.
The meetup place? Behind/beside the “Sungai Kita” Restaurant opposite of the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital. The topics? About the changes in our life, the changes that we’ve faced every single day and yeah the changes that we will encounter in the future. Of cause, the three of us clearly animated when it comes to the current issues of local politics scene. I can conclude that three of us have the same wavelength, same vision and aspiration for our beloved country, Malaysia. And yes, the three of us also agree that the time has come for we to be known as Malaysian instead of our respective racial identification as we do acknowledge that the racial based politics are outdated and regressive for our nation. The irony is that the conclusion comes from three guys who gone through 5 years of secondary education at Malay College Kuala Kangsar who suppose to be more sensitive about this racial or Malay thingy. But RPK and Anwar also are former collegian
This is not Great Eastern Mall
Talking about changes in Kuantan itself, I do impress with the progress that this hometown of mine has made during these years. To be honest, the last time I went back to this place is last year’s Hari Raya Haji. Maybe since the twin can walk by their own now I can go back to Kuantan as much as possible. And to wifey, Great Eastern Mall is located as Jalan Ampang in KL while the one that located nearby the Darul Makmur stadium called East Cost Mall.
And this is not East Cost Mall

Salam Aidilfitri …. you were in Kuantan for raya?
